Kanye West and partner Kim Kardashian were recently singled out by President Obama for their opulent lifestyle.

The couple welcomed their first child in June and Kanye is proving that he will go to any length to protect his family.

The singer spared no expense to acquire two high-performance armored vehicles to protect Kim Kardashian and their baby daughter North.

The 36-year-old rapper has reportedly spent $1.2 million each for two Prombron Iron Diamonds by Dartz Motorz.

On the Dartz website, the Iron Diamond is said to prevent kidnapping, hijacking and ‘other problems which can meet rich and lonely lady on the street.’ The super-SUV is even built to withstand attacks from landmines and rocket-propelled grenades.

West reportedly wants to ensure that his family receives the best protection available.

“Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths,” a source close to the rapper said.

10 Things Every Man Should Know How To Do

We are all as different as we can be, we men. We come in all shades and sizes and understanding how different we are is a very wise move for better co-existence.

3. Listen: Yeah, shut up and listen. When people open up to talk to you, they seldom need you to tell anything; they just need someone to listen. You will not die suddenly from listening and not saying anything. Also, don’t monopolise discussions. It’s not always about you. Shut up and listen.

6. Kick Ass: Talk to the waiter with respect; don’t verbally or physically abuse people who work for/with you; be kind to those who seek your assistance; talk to women and other men as you would expect to be spoken to. But, when the need arises, kick ass. Kick it so hard that the mere thought of how you kick someone’s ass will put the fear of God in others that they will ensure they don’t do anything that would require you to kick ass. Do it sparingly but be bloody good at it.

7. Name your poison: Vodka on the rocks, double, neat. That’s how a man orders his poison. If you cannot name your poison with clarity, how can you be trusted with giving precise instructions or making important decisions?

8. Read an important book: Yes, the Bible, Quran or the Bhagavad Gita are important texts, if you’re a man of faith. But you will find yourself in many important settings where the discussion will not be about religion. Read an important book; test the waters of knowledge, agree with what you find illuminating, question everything.

9. Cook a meal. It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate. A simple meal will be equally appreciated, although plain Indomie noodles does not count. She knows you can’t cook to save your life but she loves that you can make an effort. It’s the effort that counts, really.

10. Be loyal to something or someone: Loyalty goes a long way, in many ways. Be loyal to a brand, a pet, a football club, a place, a clothing label, an artiste…or somebody. If there’s nothing and no one you can practically die for, who or what do you live for?

Mugabe Secretly Agrees to Sell Uranium to Iran

Zimbabwe has signed a secret deal to supply Iran with the raw materials needed to develop a nuclear weapon, in breach of international sanctions.

“I have seen [a memorandum of understanding] to export uranium to the Iranians,” Zimbabwean Deputy Mining Minister Gift Chimanikire said.

The agreement, which was reportedly signed last year, is likely to cause alarm in Western capitals.

The United States and the European Union have imposed crippling sanctions on Iran over its nuclear programme which Tehran insists is for peaceful energy uses but which they fear is intended to build a bomb.

Zimbabwe is also subject to international sanctions over its human rights record and conduct of elections.

President Robert Mugabe, who won another five-year term in disputed polls last month, has publicly backed Iran’s nuclear drive.

During a visit by Iran’s then president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to Harare in April 2010, Mugabe said his guest should be assured of “Zimbabwe’s continuous support of Iran’s just cause on the nuclear issue”.

Chimanikire is a member of Zimbabwe’s opposition who is likely to be replaced now that the election has brought an end to the shaky coalition government.

He said the uranium deal had been made without his knowledge, and was only known to a handful of people at the top of the government.

Despite the agreement, analysts sayi that it was likely to be a long time before Zimbabwe’s uranium reserves were ready for export.

Lagos Ranked Third In Annual Millionaires List

Lagos has the third highest number of millionaires on the continent. This is according to the latest annual New World Wealth report, which revealed the Nigerian city has 9 800 millionaires.

Lagos, which has a population of about 8 million, is third behind Johannesburg (South Africa) and Cairo, the Egyptian capital, in the list of cities with the largest concentration of millionaires.

Johannesburg topped the list with 23 000 millionaires at the end of 2012, followed by Cairo with 12 000 millionaires.

Four South African cities were placed in the top ten of the rankings. The report noted that South Africa’s increase represented growth of 9 percent from the 2011 fiscal year. Cape Town was ranked fourth with 9 000 millionaires. Durban had 2 700 while Pretoria was ranked in eighth place with 2 500 millionaires.

The report further stated that although the number of millionaires in other African countries was growing at a fast rate, South African cities were still expected to dominate the top 10 list in 2020.

The report further projected that Johannesburg millionaires would grow to 30 000 by 2020 and would maintain its first position.

Then, it is projected Lagos would have 15 800 millionaires.

The report forecast that Accra in Ghana would be the fastest growing city for Africa millionaires in the period to 2020 with a yearly growth of 8 percent, while Durban would have the fastest growth in South Africa at 3.7 percent.

The New World Wealth’s list includes high-net worth individuals with net assets of $1 million or more, including their primary residence, also providing information and customized products to Africa’s wealth sectors such as luxury goods companies, private banks and fund managers among others. It has a sample of more than 120 000 t individuals on its database.

Belgium — These incredibly life-like dolls are so realistic you could easily be forgiven for thinking they were real babies. Costing up to thousands of euros each, they are certainly no children’s toys, but handcrafted one-off works of art that take dozens of hours to create.

They are made to order for collectors but are also proving popular with grieving or nostalgic parents and grandparents as mementos of their own children.
They are the work of Belgian artist Beatrice Van Landeghem, whose workshop, ‘La nurserie des Tis Lous De Bea’, is based in La Louviere, southern Belgium.
The ‘Reborn Babies’ are carefully crafted in vinyl and are even weighed to make them feel exactly as heavy as human babies when carried.
The dolls are created from a kit composed of the limbs and head made from vinyl and a trunk made from fabric which are painted several times to create the skin tone of newborn babies.

They are then fitted with natural-looking hair and eyelashes.

The cost of a ‘Reborn Baby’ varies between hundreds to thousands of euros and takes around 25 hours to be assembled together depending on the level of precision requested by people who ‘adopt’ the dolls.

China — A suicidal husband was saved after trying to leap from his bedroom window — when his wife grabbed him by his boxer shorts. Witnesses say Ling Su clung on single handed for 20 minutes before police and firefighters arrived. He was dangling from a six-storey apartment in Changchun, Jilin province, northern China.

‘We heard a shout and screaming and there he was dangling from the window with his wife hanging onto his pants,’ said one passer-by. ‘She got a stronger hold on his leg and screamed for help.

‘We tried to get in to help her but the apartment was locked and we couldn’t break down the door,’ the eyewitnesses added.

Neighbours peered through windows to get a better look at the spectacle.

Rescuers managed to pull 45-year-old Wang Li to safety, who is understood to have been depressed about lack of work.

Paulo Henrique Machado has lived almost his entire life in hospital. As a baby he suffered infantile paralysis brought on by polio, and he is still hooked up to an artificial respirator 24 hours a day.

But despite this, he has trained as a computer animator and is now creating a television series about his life.

The Brazilian’s first memories are of exploring the hospital he has lived in for 45 years by wheelchair.

“I explored up and down the corridors, going into the rooms of other children that were here – that is how I discovered my ‘universe’,” he says.

“For me, playing football or with normal toys wasn’t an option, so it was more about using my imagination.”

Machado’s mother died when he was two days old, and as a baby he contracted polio – the result of one of the last big outbreaks of the disease in Brazil.

Ligia Marcia Fizeto, Machado’s nursing assistant, began working in the hospital – Sao Paulo’s Clinicas – shortly after he arrived.

“It was very sad to see all those children, all lying there immobilised in their beds, or with very little movement,” she says.

In the 1970s, children with polio were encased in a “torpedo” – a body-encasing iron lung – and doctors at the hospital gave grim assessments of the children’s prospects. Few in the “polio ward” were expected to reach adolescence – their life expectancy was just 10 years.

With very limited mobility, Machado’s world formed around the friends he made on the ward.

“There was me, Eliana, Pedrinho, Anderson, Claudia, Luciana and Tania. They were here for a good length of time too, more than 10 years,” he says.

With the innocence of childhood, he never imagined that they would be parted. But by 1992, some of the children had begun to deteriorate – one by one, his friends began to die.

“It was difficult,” says Machado. “Each loss was like a dismembering, you know, physical… like a mutilation,” he says. “Now, there’s just two of us left – me and Eliana.”

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested one Kingsley Mudi over alleged ATM fraud.

He was picked up at about 11 pm on August 2, 2013 at Fidelity Bank ATM on Airport Road, Warri, Delta State following an intelligence report.

At the point of arrest, 30 ATM cards of different banks with which he allegedly withdrew a total sum of five hundred and fifty thousand naira (N550, 000) were found in his possession. Eight signed UBA cheques belonging to sundry persons were also found on him.

Kingsley Mudi, who claimed to be a Disc Jockey and an operator of a barbing salon, has volunteered useful information.

He will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
